Horror master John Carpenter took to Twitter today to bring a Halloween Kills announcement to the fans. According to a joint statement by Carpenter and Writer/Director David Gordon Green, the film’s release is being delayed. The latest installment in the venerable Halloween franchise was originally slated to release this October. However, recent events around the world have spelled disaster for moviegoers and the movie going experience. The feeling is an October, 2020 release could compromise the film.

Oof! 2020 strikes another blow. Bummer. But perfectly understandable. Halloween fans will have to be patient. I’m sure the wait will be worth it. It’s also good to hear they’re moving forward with Halloween Ends production. Hopefully it’s a fitting finale for the franchise.
