Stephen King’s terrifying tale, Mr. Mercedes is coming to the small screen soon on AT&T Audience Network on August 9th. This 15-second teaser trailer is our first look at what may be in store. In the clip, Detective Bill Hodge (Brendan Gleeson) finds a tennis ball on his lawn as he hears an ice cream truck and laughs in the distance. He looks around and we realize he is being taunted by a dangerous psychopath. Check it out!
Based on Stephen King’s 2014 book, “Mr. Mercedes” follows demented killer Brady Hartsfield, who taunts a retired police detective Bill Hodges with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he is able to strike again.
Mr. Mercedes stars Brendan Gleeson as Det. Bill Hodges, Harry Treadaway as Brady Hartsfield, and Jharrel Jerome as Jerome Robinson. David E. Kelley adapted the novel to the small screen and the show is being directed by Jack Bender.
What do you think of the teaser so far? We can’t wait to see more of Mr. Mercedes! Just one of the many Stephen King adaptations coming out soon.
