Hey, candle addicts! You may recall a bit ago that we did an unboxing with a company called Dio Candle Company during our Spooktober 2019 unboxings. They were kind enough to send their November 2019 box our way to poke around in and experience their gaming-themed candles, and you know we were all about that.
Before we do anything else, we want to send a huge thank you to Dio Candle Company for sending this box our way. They have themed monthly mystery boxes with 5 adorable sized candles inside. These sizes are great for bathrooms, small bedrooms, kitchens or sitting on a desk or nightstand. The November 2019 theme was gaming and that included a special candle with your chosen gamer tag on it. Let’s get sniffin’.
First out was my own personalized candle for my PS4 tag, vill_jalentine. The smell with this candle is zesty ginger ale, and I am a fan of this one. It smells so light and bubbly, and you can really smell the ginger ale. This a perfect summer candle!
Next up in the Dio Candle Company November 2019 box is the scent, Game Over, which smells like toasted coconut and caramel. Imagine those Samoa Girl Scout cookies but without the chocolate… I love it so much. This is a great fall or winter candle. All this candle does is make me want a cookie. Game over, indeed.
Nothing like a green mushroom to keep you going. This 1up candle smells of banana and grapefruit, another super fresh scent, even though I expected that sickly sweet banana smell like banana Runts candy. Thankfully, the banana smell is mild, and the tangy grapefruit cuts through any sweetness, making the candles really refreshing.
When you have a 1up, you have to Save the Princess! It, of course, smells like peaches and cream. But, when the wick has been charred, it does begin to smell like wheat beer for some unknown reason. Maybe the princess has been dippin’ in the barrel, if you know what I’m saying.
The last candle is a fight to the death…or just a really nice smelling jar. This is Battle Royale, the mode that every game seems to have now. This is in the scent vanilla chai. The vanilla makes it sweet but you can really smell the chai spices in the candle. As an avid chai drinker, this is a really nice and warm smelling candle.
That’s it for the Dio Candle Company November 2019 box. I loved the gaming themes and the scents of the candles. While I am not sure of December’s theme, I do know that January’s box is on sale and the theme is All for You. You can snag a subscription for as little as $20 bucks and get 5 themed mini candles sent right to your door. You can shop past scents and boxes HERE. PopHorror is an affiliate with Dio Candle Company, so a little of your purchase goes to help us keep the lights on. While PopHorror is an affiliate, I am not paid by anyone for my reviews, so my opinion of the box is my own.
