One, Two, Freddy’s Comin’ For You… Well, maybe not for YOU, exactly. Freddy Krueger, the man of your dreams, could, however, be coming to Dead By Daylight! Michael Myers and Leatherface are already available as playable characters, so an appearance by The Springwood Slasher isn’t out of the question. A recent post on Reddit that’s also been picked up by Comicbook.com puts the puzzle pieces together. Read on for details!
If you’re not familiar, Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric survival horror video game developed by Behavior Interactive and published by Starbreeze Studios. It came out on PC back in June 2016. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions followed in June of 2017. In the game, one to four players are survivors and one player stalks them through different environments as the killer. If you’re familiar with Gun Media’s Friday the 13th, the concept is remarkably similar.
So…Freddy Krueger In Dead By Daylight?
Dead By Daylight‘s Steam Community Forum has hopped with Freddy Krueger anticipation for months. Recently a community member did some data mining and released a bunch of information, including an audio file, which all point to Freddy Krueger! It appears the threads have since been removed, but lucky for us the Internet is forever. Here are the details from the Reddit post:

Conclusion
The pain sounds, laughs, grunting, and groaning are all very reminiscent of Freddy. The nursery rhyme is unmistakable. Who is “Kate Denson?” We don’t know either. All the other signs point to “Yes,” though. We may have a winner!
