Canadian Filmmakers Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky met on the set of Steven Spielberg’s reality show On The Lot. They produced a number of short films for the show, and have since directed a number of digital and TV projects. Freaks is the duo’s first feature film, and it will make its premiere at Toronto International Film Festival 2018!

In this inventive and powerful science-fiction thriller, a disturbed father (Emile Hirsch) locks his 7-year-old daughter (Lexy Kolker) in a house, warning her of grave dangers outside. But the mysterious Mr. Snowcone (Bruce Dern) convinces the girl to escape and join him on a quest for family, freedom, and revenge.
Freaks stars Emile Hirsch, Bruce Dern, Grace Park, Amanda Crew, and introducing Lexy Kolker. The film marks Bruce Dern’s first appearance in a Sci-Fi film since 1972’s Silent Running!
The Toronto International Film Fest takes place from September 6 – 16, 2018. The official premiere date and time for Freaks will be announced at a later date. We’ll bring you the details as soon as we have them.
