Fan Puts Retro Spin On New ‘Halloween’ Trailer

There has been an evolution of the TV series and television programming that has occurred in the past thirty plus years, and while I enjoy all the new shows and options they offer, there are some things about ’80s television that I miss. You actually had to wait a week for the next episode of a TV program or miniseries to find out what happened for starters. Then there was the good ol’ fun of watching the NBC Friday Night Movie. Even though they were edited for television, you still got to watch it as a kid because it was on regular television. The anticipation and excitement of it all! Patrick J. Doody of YouTube’s Video Archive Project has melded the Halloween 2018 trailer with a commercial for a 1981 NBC’s Friday Night Movie. It is perfect! The nostalgia it brings!

Halloween 2018 is set to release on October 19th.

Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Cast includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Virginia Gardner and Nick Castle. Halloween 2018 was directed by David Gordon Green and co-written by Green, Jeff Fradley and Danny McBride. The film is based on characters by John Carpenter and Debra Hill and was produced by Malek Akkad, Jason Blum, Bill Block with executive producers John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, David Gordon Green, Danny McBride and Ryan Freimann.

If it’s possible, this video makes me even more pumped for this film! What do you guys think? Let us know below! Be sure to stay tuned to PopHorror for all your news, reviews, interviews and much more!
