EXMORTUS Releases Horror-Inspired ‘Legions of the Undead’ EP

Los Angeles-based EXMORTUS, hot off the success of their recent releases, Slave To The Sword (2014), Ride Forth (2016), and Sound Of Steel (2018), are back with an all new EP called Legions of the Undead, with a tour to follow! The five-track release features a Halloween/horror theme and two new original songs, and will be available to purchase on October 25th. Go get it!

Evil Dead-inspired “Swallow Your Soul”

EXMORTUS guitarist/vocalist Jadran “Conan” Gonzalez stated:

“Although we had fun writing homages to Evil Dead and Lord of the Rings, we had an absolute blast giving these covers the EXMORTUS touch. We’re extremely excited to perform these new tracks on Death Angel’s North American Humanicide Tour this November and December. See you on the road, Legions!”

Jadran “Conan” Gonzalez has this to say:

“I’ve been meaning to cover this for a while now. As a kid, I loved the movie and the cartoon series that followed it. Danny Elfman’s music really does lend itself to metal orchestration, so this was a breeze to learn and jam out. Hope you have as much fun watching it as we did recording it. It’s showtime!”

Jadran ‘Conan’ Gonzalez says:

“Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Psycho’ is undoubtedly one of the most iconic horror movies of all time, and not just for its story. Bernard Herrman’s harsh harmonies and melancholic melodies in the score translate so well to heavy metal, we couldn’t resist putting our own spin on it.
