I was a huge fan of Tory Jones’ The Wicked One (read our review here) when it first came out and was super excited when the sequel, Wicked Ones, was announced. On behalf of director Tory Jones (read our interview with him here), I’m happy to share with you these exclusive stills from Wicked Ones as well as some detailed plot information.
Wicked Ones was co-written by Tory Jones and Nathan Thomas Milliner (The Confession of Fred Krueger 2015 – read our review here), directed by Jones, and stars Katie Stewart (Angel 2018 – read our review here), Dale Miller (read our interview with him here), Skyler Guthrie (The Neighborhood Watch 2018), Brandi Botkin (Formerly In Love 2020), Morgan Pyle, Jason Crowe (The Bad Man 2018), Roni Jonah (Volumes of Blood 2015 – read our review here), and Richard Hunt. The film is being produced by Jonestown Films LLC and Studio 605 Films LLC. Former Evanescence drummer and 10/31 filmmaker Rocky Gray (read our interview with him here) is composing the score.
Wicked Ones is a sequel to the award winning slasher film, The Wicked One, which was directed by Tory Jones and released by Petri Entertainment in 2017. The new film goes deeper into the mind of our titular character and deals with the lasting effects his crimes have had, not just on our protagonists but also the community of Carpenter Falls. Violence oftentimes incites violence, so we are exploring that to an extent with this sequel. We get to see the sort of trauma Alex and Adam have dealt with after surviving the events in the first film. We get to see Officer Burke, who was a security guard at the institution The Wicked One escaped from, deal with his self-induced guilt. We are toying with a lot of different things and wrapping up the story nicely. This will conclude The Wicked One story, and I think it does so in a very fitting way. One of the most exciting parts about this story is that we are going deeper into the mind of Colin Miller aka The Wicked One, and exploring the secrets behind his madness, what drives him and what corrupted this young boy and turned him to murder. Another aspect I’m super excited about is the level of gore we have in this. It’s bloody, and I mean, really bloody.
While returning to Carpenter Falls for their son’s concert, the Lawson family comes to their final confrontation with The Wicked One, a serial killer with whom their last encounter has haunted them for a decade.
