The man who starred in and co-wrote the script for Massacre On Aisle 12 (2016 – read my review here)—one of this reviewer’s favorite horror comedies—has just announced another project called Self Isolated. We’re here to tell you that this horror/thriller has just begun filming. The film will be directed by Ridgely, who also wrote the script. This jack of all trades will also star in the film, along with Maggi Mayfield (Vegas Is Calling 2019), Doug Burch (Massacre On Aisle 12 2016), and Rachel Alig (The Cleaning Lady 2019 – read our review here, At Granny’s House 2015 – read our review here).
Ridgely, who most recently appeared in Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood (read our review here), wrote the script for Self Isolated during Covid, a story that takes place during a global pandemic, but is not a corona virus tale. Filming is taking place on location in Los Angeles with the cast and crew practicing social distancing protocols and utilizing a limited staff.
Synopsis:
Set under the backdrop of a global pandemic, the film centers around a woman who awakens from a coma to find her caretaker husband has gone missing. With no recollection of past events, her search for clues leads her to the doorstep of an overly friendly neighbor who may have something to hide.

On top of directing, writing and acting, Ridgely is co-producing under his Full Auto Films banner, in conjunction with Mayfield of MMMade It Media. The film is intended for theatrical release in 2021.
