Ouija was one of the worst, clichéd, unoriginal horror films of this decade. When I saw the trailer for its prequel, Ouija: Origin Of Evil, I immediately knew it was going to be an improvement. Mike Flannigan unbelievably redeemed the franchise. He not only brought a fantastic cast and a great storyline, he also connected it to the original film, and it just made me love Origin Of Evil even more!
With the prequel concluding the way it did, I thought it ended the franchise perfectly. However, the star of Origin Of Evil, Elizabeth Reaser, may not be ready to say goodbye to the franchise just yet!
According to thestatesman.com, Reaser recently stated:
“I hope the story goes forward. I don’t want to give any spoilers. Anything is possible in the genre. It certainly sets for a sequel. I would love to be in it, and would love to see that even as an audience member.”
“The memories that I carry with from that is the experience with those kids. The fun that we had and the joy of working with those girls who played my daughters. They are really special to me, both of them. In fact, I am working with Lulu Wilson right now. It was a massive gift for me to get to do the film.”
If Flanagan and Reaser returned for another Ouija film, I’d have the utmost faith that it would be successful. I have yet to see a Flanagan film I DON’T enjoy.
