Disney’s Z-O-M-B-I-E-S is Getting a Sequel

The Disney Channel had a surprise hit last year with the movie, Z-O-M-B-I-E-S. It was a nice little gateway horror film for up-and-coming genre fans, one that pits the horrors of high school with something a little less scary… the living dead. The pipe dream of domesticating zombies had finally come to fruition with a bracelet that keeps them from acting on their basic instincts. That new found civility lets them join human high school students without all the inevitable carnage.

The sequel is fittingly titled Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 2, and while it doesn’t have a zombie fighting a shark, it does have more of the formula that made the original have such a wide appeal.

Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 2 begins after last year’s semester ended, and this time, the new kids are werewolves.

Returning cast includes Kylee Russell (Jump In! 2007), Trevor Tordjman (The Next Step TV series), Carla Jeffery (Scream Queens TV series), James Godfrey (Shadowhunters TV series) and Kingston Foster (Fuller House TV series). New additions include Chandler Kinney (The Haunted Hathaways TV series), Pearce Joza (Mech-X4 TV series), and social media personality Ariel Martin.

About Kevin Scott

Parents who were not film savvy and completely unprepared for choosing child appropriate viewing material were the catalyst that fueled my lifelong love affair with horror, exploitation, blaxploitation, low budget action, and pretty much anything that had to be turned off when my grandparents visited. I turned out okay for the most part, so how bad could all these films actually be?
