PopHorror Let's Get Scared
I think everyone can agree that Deathgasm is one of the best horror comedies to come out in the last few years. Director/writer Jason Lei Howden is incredibly talented and we’re overjoyed by the news of him working on his next project with the one and only Daniel Radcliffe!
Radcliffe is set to star in Occupant Entertainment’s new action comedy Guns Akimbo, which is written and directed by Howden. Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino (both worked on All the Boys Love Mandy Lane and The Hallow) are producing the film.
According to Deadline:
“The story follows Miles who spends his days in a dead-end job, pining for his beautiful ex-girlfriend Nova. His mundane existence is turned upside-down when he finds himself enrolled on a dark net website that forces complete strangers to fight in a city-wide game of death so that their gladiatorial battles can be live-streamed worldwide to a fanatical audience.
Contestants are chosen by a clandestine gang known as Schism, who handicap the weaker contestant to further stack the odds against them. Initially, Miles’ lifetime of running from his problems pays off as he manages to elude his first opponent but when Nova is kidnapped, he must finally stop running and overcome his fears to fight for the girl he loves.”
This idea will be introduced at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. It seems like a fun movie and we love the idea of both Jason Lei Howden and Daniel Radcliffe working together! Are you guys excited to see this project? Let us know.
