‘The Crow’ Remake Has An Official Release Date!

It seems like the remake bug continues to spread and The Crow is now infected. No longer a rumor, we are finally given an update of the remake of the 1994 cult classic. Here’s what we know about the upcoming project so far!

(Synopsis provided by IMDb.com):

Eric, a poetic guitarist, is Brough back to life by a crow one year after he and his fiancé are murdered.

Jason Momoa is the only one cast so far. He’ll be playing the revenge-seeker, Eric Draven. Everyone knows Jason from Game Of Thrones and Justice League. Corin Hardy is set to direct the film. Hardy is also directing the Conjuring spin-off The Nun, which is set to release this year!

According to Hollywood Reporter, The Crow now has an official release date. Sony announced that the remake will open on October 11, 2019. The remake is promised to be a faithful adaptation of the indie comic created by James O’Barr, which was realized in 1989.

The original is a unique supernatural revenge film which starred the late Brandon Lee. It’s also a sad reminder of Brandon’s death, which actually happened on the set of The Crow. Only time will tell whether or not the remake will hold the same feeling of dread and despair.
