‘Creepshow’ (2019) Trailer Drops at Comic-Con

Badass horror streaming service Shudder is hard at work on their new, original TV series, Creepshow. The show is executive produced by horror icon Greg Nicotero of AMC’s The Walking Dead fame and based on the legendary 1982 anthology film, written by Stephen King and directed by the late George A. Romero. Put it together and you’ve got a match made in Heaven! Or Hell? The point is, it’s gonna be KILLER!

If you’re anything like us, you’re anxiously awaiting this one. Well, I’ve got some great news. The folks at Shudder dropped a trailer for the series at Comic-Con.

Check it out below, then read on for all the gory details!

Creepshow Details From Shudder

Season 1 will be six episodes long. One episode will feature an adaptation of the Stephen King story “Gray Matter.” Other announced segments from various acclaimed horror writers include:

  • Silvery Waters of Lake Champlain by Joe Hill
  • House of the Head by Josh Malerman
  • All Hallows Eve by Bruce Jones
  • Night of the Paw by John Esposito
  • Bad Wolf Down by Rob Schrab
  • The Companion by Joe Lansdale
  • The Man in the Suitcase by Christopher Buehlman

According to Shudder, Greg Nicotero will direct some of the segments of the series (including “Gray Matter”). Other announced directors include David Bruckner, Roxanne Benjamin, and Rob Schrab. John Harrison, who worked on the original 1982 Creepshow will also direct a story he co-wrote with Nicotero. Nicotero’s KNB EFX GROUP Inc. will handle the series’ creature FX and makeup. And THAT is most excellent news! Those guys do fantastic work!

Creepshow is slated to premiere on Shudder later in 2019. Additional stories, directors, and casting info will be announced soon. And of course you know we’ll be there to bring you the news when it breaks!
