Coyote Kid

Coyote Kid Releases Music Video, Launches Album Kickstarter

“Femme Fatale” is the first single from Minnesota based, cinematic rock band COYOTE KID‘s upcoming album, The Skeleton Man. Christopher Behnen and Dena Winter directed the video. The self described “Tarantino inspired” short film shot entirely on real 16mm film tells the story of a dangerous woman and her vampiric car. Along with the video, the band launched a Kickstarter Campaign to help fund the full length album, The Skeleton Man. This full-length, cinematic alt-rock concept album, tells the post-apocalyptic western tale of The Coyote Kid.

From The Skeleton Man Kickstarter Page

Coyote Kid is a Minneapolis-based, independent, Cinematic Alt-Rock band with a dark, dynamic sound, and a strong emphasis on story telling. After three entirely crowdfunded story albums, the stage is set for our biggest release yet. As we transition into a new phase of the band, we will be adopting a whole new branding as well, and going by the name Coyote Kid as we continue to develop the vision and style we established as Marah in the Mainsail, revitalized and poised to explode onto the world-wide stage. We really believe in this music, and we cannot express how honored we are to serve such a passionate fan base. We cannot do anything without you!

This new story album is titled The Skeleton Man. The sound is large and aggressive, but more stylistically diverse then any of our previous releases. We wanted to take the cinematic sound we established in our previous albums and expand it to encompass more musical influences and a larger emotional range.  From dynamic drums, growling bass, and shimmering spaghetti-western guitars, to soaring trumpets and bellowing trombones, the stage is set for this supernatural, post-apocalyptic western.  This is, by far, the most dynamic work we have ever compiled. Each record will be pressed on beautiful marble vinyl, and will include the full album story and lyrics, a poster insert, and a pair of red and blue lenses that reveal both sides of The Skeleton Man cover art.
