Vision Films announces the release of Director Jeremiah Kipp’s (Painkiller 2014) exciting new sci-fi horror film Black Wake. The film stars Tom Sizemore (Red Planet, Atomica), Eric Roberts (A.I. Tales), and Nana Gouvea (Blood Circus).
From the press release:
“Inspired by the horror fiction of H.P Lovecraft, Black Wake follows specialists who gather in a top secret facility to investigate a series of deaths on the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. When a determined detective (Tom Sizemore) sends one of the scientists (Nana Gouvea) the crazed writings of a mysterious homeless man, she discovers the actual threat may be an ancient force from the sea hellbent on bringing madness and death to all of humanity. Can she convince her colleagues (led by Eric Roberts) of the true danger before an ancient force rises from the sea to bring madness and death to all of humanity?”
This film was screened at festivals across the world and won Best Horror Feature Film at the 2018 Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival. It was also the winner of the Best Special Effects and Best Kill at the 2018 Independent Horror Movie Awards as well as the Special Jury Award as the Brazil International Film Festival.
