Autumn Magic: Wicked Good September 2020 Box

Happy Fall, spooky babies! As I sit and write this, the temperature is almost 30 degrees less than the day before. Some yellow leaves are falling and the air smells like Autumn. I have never been more excited to wear a sweater in my life. In my opinion, this is also the best time of year for self care. Self care is important all year long but there is just something more magical about it in the Fall. The themes are spooky, the smells are warm and you can feel like the luxurious witch that you are. A company that wants to assist with that is Wicked Good. We are big fans of Wicked Good here and we got to review their Halloween box from last fall (also keep an eye out for them at the All Hallows Bazaar!) and we adored it. Their Deadly Night Shade Bath and Body oil is where it’s at for curly locks. Now, we get to try the Wicked Good September 2020 Autumn Magic box!

The biggest of thank yous to Cheri at Wicked Good for sending this box. She is a master perfumer and her mixtures are pure magic. The monthly subscription box is $29 a month (or get a perfume roller box only for $18) and there are some great discounts for order 3/6/12 month packages. You can also do a gift box to try just one without needed to set up a subscription. That month’s box is available until the end of the month or until the boxes sell out and there is free shipping in the US! Let see what the Wicked Good September 2020 Autumn Magic box had to offer. Keep in mind, these items are only available in this box.

This may be one of my favorite pictures I’ve taken for Wicked Good. Look how lovely those layers are! This is the Candy Corn Buttercream Whipped Soap. I think this is just lovely. This may sound insincere but this is truly my opinion, I love that this tub isn’t completely full. At least visually, the fact that you can see the layers and how it’s piped in by hand makes it look more handmade and almost pastoral, if that makes sense. You can feel the care put into its creation.

This smells like something you want to lick. It has such a strong vanilla smell but you can almost smell the alcohol in the extract. This scent has notes of marshmallow cream, vanilla and powdered sugar. This is a delicious smelling Fall fragrance that is so pretty that you can sit it on your counter for a Fall bathroom décor.

Next out of the Wicked Good September 2020 Autumn Magic box is the Brown Sugar Oud Perfume Spray. I LOVE their perfume sprays. They are such good quality because the scent is strong and lasts. A little is all you need and I respect that amount of quality and care. This is an amazing and warm Fall fragrance. The brown sugar scent hits hard upon first spraying but given some time, the other notes shine through. You begin to smell the bergamot, Valencia orange, mint, clove, wild cypress, sea salt, tonka amber, black sandalwood and oud wood. This is perfect for late Fall into Winter.

It’s that time of year where our lips begin to suffer but the Wicked Good September 2020 Autumn Magic box has you covered, baby, with it’s Spiced Orange and Clove Lip Whip. I love a good lip item because I tend to have so much trouble as the air begins to try. This is a VERY soft product that feels a lot like Vaseline but smells considerably better. This has notes of orange pomander, spiced brandy, Saigon cinnamon, star anise and gingered honey. In my opinion, this smells more on the Winter/Christmas side but I’m not complaining. It makes me think of the garland I make with dried orange slices and cloves. The only downside is the taste. Because of the oils, it has a slight bitter taste whch can be unpleasant to those sensitive to bitter notes. Aside from that, I really enjoy it.

The last item in the Wicked Good September 2020 Autumn Magicbox is the perfume roller in the scent Pomegranate Noir. I had a massive brain fart while filming the video but I finally remembered what this is a dupe for: Midnight Pomegranate from Bath and Body Works. That is a long ago discontinued scent and this reminds me of it a lot. It has notes of pomegranate, black currant, opopanax, patchoui and woods. The pomegranate and currant give the perfume a dark and heavy sweetness while the patchouli makes it earthy. There are a lot of layers in this scent. This is another one that I think is great for winter, especially since December marks the beginning of pomegranate season.

That’s all for the Wicked Good September 2020 Autumn Magic box. I really enjoyed this one. While only half screamed Autumn, I think it’s just find to have good seasonal transition items inside. All of them were warm and cozy and that is perfect for this time of year. You can sign up for the monthly box HERE. Thank you again to Wicked Good. Even though these items were sent to me, I was not paid for this review and all opinions on the items and the company are my own.
