Attack of the Unknown is the latest indie film from the Mahal brothers, Michael and Sonny (read more about the Mahal brothers in our with them interview here). This is the duo who made their debut with a nod to classic B-movies with Bus Party to Hell in 2017 (read our review here), and then last year, released a unique take on the seven deadly sins with Art of the Dead (2019 – read our review here). Synopsis:
A SWAT team transporting a vicious crime syndicate boss find themselves trapped inside a county detention center as the world burns around them. They have no communication with the outside world and must band together to escape the bloodthirsty alien forces attacking them.
The sci-fi horror film stars Richard Grieco (21 Jump Street, Night at the Roxbury, If Looks Could Kill), Tara Reid (American Pie, Urban Legend, Sharknado), Robert LaSardo (Nip/Tuck, General Hospital, CSI Miami, Gang Related, NYPD Blue).The film was directed by Brandon Slagle. The film was written by Brandon Slagle, Michael Mahal, and Sonny Mahal.
