Ash vs Evil Dead

‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ Complete Series Blu-ray Coming Soon!

No one loves the Evil Dead franchise quite like Anchor Bay. Over the years they’ve released a ton of special edition DVDs and Blu-rays of Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness. I should know. I’m pretty sure I own every Goddamned one of them. It comes as no surprise, to me at least, that Anchor Bay is back and masterminding the release of Ash vs. Evil Dead, the complete series, on Blu-ray. Groovy!

Read on for all the details!

Ash vs. Evil Dead Synopsis

Bruce Campbell reprises his role as Ash, the aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons – personal and literal.

Ash vs. Evil Dead stars Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, and Dana DeLorenzo. It was developed for Starz by Sam and Ivan Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell. The series spans 3 seasons and 30 episodes. It’s definitely gone too soon, but while it was here, it was glorious.

Final Thoughts

Ash vs. Evil Dead – The Complete Series is available for pre-order over at Amazon for $44.59. It hits shelves October 16. It looks like the set includes 6 Discs and a digital copy. Not a lot of info is available right now as far as extras go, but I imagine at minimum you’ll get trailers, TV spots, interviews, and a few commentary tracks. Anchor Bay isn’t normally one to skimp on the goodies!

What do you think? Will you snag a copy to watch for Halloween? Tell us in the comments!
