Apparition is a new horror video game from indie developer MrCiasktu, who delivers a great gaming experience. This first person horror survival game will be scrambling your brains as you unravel unsolved disappearances and murders. The game creators impressed with a great trailer over a year ago, and today, it doesn’t disappoint anyone who has been waiting on it. Read on to find out what I enjoyed about Apparition.
This game brings a great model that delivers a satisfying amount of scares and intrigue. It’s the early 2000s, and The Plague (a killer not a disease) had been killing many people in the area. Tourists have gone missing, thought to be victims. It’s your job to investigate around a campground for clues to these seemingly paranormal killings.
Play Multiple Times
The longer you play without dying, you earn currency. The longer you live, the more danger you get into and the better the rewards you earn. You use the clues and notes you gather to put the pieces together. Using the Ouija Board to solve murders was actually more fun than I thought it could be. Don’t forget to bring your candle for light and a camera to record the evidence. You will soon know the truth.
First Person Jump Scares
The first person mode will have you running right into scares every time you play. Hiding in closets is one of your only safe choices. The horrific story of the killer will have you disturbed and sleeping with the lights on. At one point, I jumped so suddenly that my roommate jumped, too. While most games with jump scares give you an idea of when they happen, the ones in Apparition happen when you least expect it.
This game is exactly what you put into it. I had fun with it, even when I thought it wouldn’t be a good game for me. The use of the Ouija board and the great story kept me entertained. I would recommend this video game for anyone who enjoys a unique experience and scary gameplay. The indie game scene has been surging as of late, and Apparition will definitely helped expand it.
