American Horror Story S6 Teasers – Which One Is The Right One?

With all of the wonder and speculation going on about Season 6 of the hit FX show American Horror Story, it’s no wonder that someone finally got something right. There’s been speculation that next month will bring us the lost city of Roanoke, a Texas Chain Saw Massacre type family, the Anti-Christ kid from Season 1, Slenderman and even the Manson Family, but so far, series creator Ryan Murphy has stayed pretty mum about the show’s actual theme. He has given us a small hint; the season will involve creepy children, he says. Several mini teaser trailers have also gotten American Horror Story fans’ tongue’s wagging. So what’s this mysterious guess that’s been officially confirmed?

Could it be one of these?

You know all of those American Horror Story teaser trailers that we were just talking about? The ones that seem to run the entire horror gamut from soup to nuts? The ones that seem to have next to nothing in common? Well, one fan posted on Reddit that, perhaps, the randomness of the teasers was no accident. Reddit user SMLN1 wondered if most of the teasers were red herrings for the season’s theme and that only one trailer is the real deal.

FX CEO John Landgraf, who has already gotten in trouble with Murphy for spilling a few too many beans regarding American Horror Story’s Season 6, was asked about the fan’s speculation in an interview with IndieWire. He was quoted as saying: “One is accurate; all the rest are misdirect.” He continued by explaining, “We decided, Ryan and I and [marketing president] Stephanie Gibbons, that it would be really fun this year… to keep it a mystery. There is a theme and a setting and a place and time, but we’re not going to reveal it.”

So there you have it. Straight from the horse’s mouth. Also confirmed are quite a few previous American Horror Story cast members, including Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Lady Gaga and Leslie Jordan, as well as newcomer Cuba Gooding, Jr. Season 6 will premiere on September 14th at 10PM EST. Then we will finally have the answer.
