Welcome to another amazing stall featuring one of our favorite indie perfume companies. I am talking about Wicked Good, and yes, they have already had a stall in the All Hallows Bazaar, but this is Halloween, baby, and WE MAKE OUR OWN RULES! Welcome to the second Wicked Good stall with the All Hallows Bazaar: Wicked Good Witches Cauldron 2020 box. Get your pointy hats on, witches, ’cause we’re about to smell awesome.
We want to send thank you’s all around to Cheri at Wicked Good for sending this box for review. We adore working with her and truly believe in the quality of her product. She’s a potions master, a dupe master, and an all around sweet person. Let’s see what’s inside the Witches Cauldron October 2020 box.
The monthly subscription box is $29 a month (or get a perfume roller box only for $18), and there are some great discounts when ordering 3/6/12 month packages. You can also do a gift box to try just one without needing to set up a subscription. That month’s box is available until the end of the month or until the boxes sell out, and there is free shipping in the US! I loved opening this box. I especially thought that the spiders were such a fun touch.
The first item out is a perfume roller in the scent Wing of Fairy. The scent has notes of quince, muguet, peach blossom, orris, and cedar leaves. So many lovely floral notes makes the perfume delicate, but the medicinal quality of orris and the fruitiness of quince makes it more than just a flower perfume. It adds depth and sweetness. This scent has so much personality. I can imagine this is what fairies would smell like.
Did you know that healers of the past would create names for the herbs they put into their tinctures to keep other healers from knowing their recipes? Wool of Bat equates to moss and Eye of Newt is mustard seed. Names like that made it sound mystical and strange, but there was a very common reason.
I love the Wicked Good perfume sprays. They are as strong as the oil rollers, but you can also pop it in your hair. This perfume spray is called Wool of Bat. It has notes of labdanum, patchouli, guaiacum, pepper bourbon, vanilla absolute, and styrax. This one is very wood forward, but it has smoky notes with the sweet vanilla and spicy pepper. It is a very warm scent, good for winter into early spring, and it’s just lovely.
Next for the All Hallows Bazaar: Wicked Good Witches Cauldron 2020 box is a dry oil spray. I love a good dry oil, because I get dry AF in the winter, and there are many who are like me. This is Slip of Yew, and it has notes of crisp apples, autumn melon, and sugar crystals. It seems like such a simple scent profile, but it is anything but simple. It’s a melon forward smell with only a hint of the apple, but the sugar crystals give it a boost of sweetness as the melon rounds out on the skin. This is a nostalgic smell for the ’90s but in a magical way. I love this one a lot.
Last is an item I was very excited about. I am a lover of incense of all kinds, but I really love cone incense. I find it to be stronger and last longer. The Wicked Good Witches Cauldron 2020 box has cones that incense totally proves my point. They are jet black and smell SO good. This is Root of Hemlock. It has notes of black sandalwood, Haitian vetiver, clove, black pepper, amber, and incense. It smells so woodsy and spicy that it reminds me of the old Shiseido perfume. This is such a good winter incense, and it is STRONG. This is cone incense on steroids. One cone filled my whole first floor, and it was wonderful. There are 8 cones in the tin, and that makes me really want to try other cone incenses from Wicked Good.
That’s all for the All Hallows Bazaar: Wicked Good Witches Cauldron 2020 box. This may have been my favorite box that I have reviewed from Wicked Good. I loved the product variety and the scent variety as well. We had floral, sweet, fruity, woodsy, and spicy. They covered all the bases in one box. If you would like to sign up for a box, you can do so HERE and I definitely recommend it. If you want to browse her extensive collection, do that HERE. Even though this box was sent to me, I was not paid for this review and I am just a really big fan.
