All Hallows Bazaar: Wicked Good Halloween 2020 Collection

Hello, spooky babies! Welcome to another stall in the All Hallows Bazaar! Just like the stall before it, this one smells incredible and extremely witchy. I, of course, mean the perfume company, Wicked Good. I love Wicked Good and truly believe in the quality of their items. Even though this is entirely from their perfume lines, Wicked Good doesn’t just have perfumes, nay nay. They have lotions, soaps, lip items and more. Today, we are looking at the very spook, scary Halloween 2020 collection and I am very excited to share it with you.

The biggest thank you goes to Cheri at Wicked Good. She is such a kind person and she makes out of this world potions and brews. While Wicked Good doesn’t just deal in the spooky and magical, I find that some of her best work settles on the darker side. Let’s dig our noses in and welcome to the All Hallows Bazaar: Wicked Good Halloween 2020 stall.

Black Hat Society: Every witch needs a stylish black hat. I, myself, have a few and am a spiritual member of the Black Hat Society, while not an actual member. You, too, can be a spiritual member with this lovely fragrance. It has notes of green leaves, bergamot, lemon, lavender, white flowers, tonka amber, oud and vanilla bourbon. The citrus and the vanilla bourbon work together to make something that smells like a light and sweetly clean cologne. It’s very gentle and becomes very light on my skin fairly quickly. Keep in mind that body chemistry can make a huge difference in how oils react to you. If strong smells bother you, this is a great light perfume.

The Book: This perfume is inspire from the book that was made from the fat of a hanged man. It is bound in human skin and filled with evil spells. I am talking about The Book from Hocus Pocus, of course! Because this is designed after such an iconic book, it is going to be an iconic scent to match. This has notes of leather, tiger orchid, toffee and Indonesian patchouli. Leather tends to always lead the pack in perfumes and that’s the case with this as well but not so much that it overwhelms the entire thing. You smell the earthiness of the patchouli and some sweetness in the toffee.

Black Magic: I like to imagine what perfumes will smell like just by reading the name. I am probably pretty boring and this doesn’t count of a game but I like it and I think it’s fun. I thought this would smell dark and deep, like burning incense, wet soil, or dark chocolate. I was wroooooooong but that’s okay. This lovely addition to the All Hallows Bazaar: Wicked Good Halloween 2020 premiere smells of bergamot incense (I was KIND OF right), black raspberry amber, burgundy rose, dark vanilla bean and plum musk. The black raspberry and the vanilla are really muted as the amber makes it very soft and powdery. The powder smell is pretty intense and takes over any smell of berry or bergamot. If you like pretty, powder smells, you will love this.

Black Flame: In terms of scent note complexity, this is one of the simplest scent profiles in all of the All Hallows Bazaar: Wicked Good Halloween 2020¬†collection preview. There is only three things in this scent: burning wax, black vanilla and patchouli. That’s all and let me tell you that it’s STUNNING. The burning wax gives it this strange depth then the patchouli pushes through and takes over while the vanilla gives it weight and sweetness. It is so earthy and so pretty. This is one of my favorites, for sure.

Witchcraft: What do you imagine that witchcraft smells like? I would assume that it is different for everyone as witchcraft is very personal. To me, witchcraft would smell like white sage bundles, palo santo, patchouli, sandalwood incense and lavender. To Wicked Good, Witchcraft smells like white sage, eucalyptus, mugwort, lemon verbena, pink pepper, sandalwood, patchouli, cinnamon stick, clove, star anise, tonka and ambrox. That is a HUGE scent profile. So what does it smell like? It smells like all of it…really! Well, almost. I don’t get any eucalyptus, star anise or clove and that’s a great thing. Those notes tend to overpower and in this perfume they are so delicate. This is simultaneously sweet and spicy and earthy and clean. This is truly magic.

Potion: Here we have another favorite of mine in the All Hallows Bazaar: Wicked Good Halloween 2020 preview. This doesn’t necessarily smell like fall but it is so damn delightful that I don’t care. Just smelling this makes you feel happy and energized. In my opinion, this is more for the Spring forest witch than an Autumn witch. It has notes of wild berries, whipped cream, pink cotton candy, iris, violet leaves, ink, benzoin and noir. I don’t smell anything noir about this smell but I love it SO, so much. I smell the sweet cotton candy and the floral iris and sweet violet.

Book of Shadows: Back when Yankee Candle was the place to go for all of your Halloween candle needs, I used to stalk the stores for one called Witches Brew. It was a combination of Patchouli and Midsummer’s Night and became the epitome of what Halloween smelled like. I would get candles, sprays, car fresheners; anything it came in. I have long since stopped shopping there (I have one lone Witches Brew candle that I saved for years) but I smelled something familiar unboxing the scents for the All Hallows Bazaar: Wicked Good Halloween 2020 stall. This perfume is inspired by the sisters and their massive book of shadows from Practical Magic. It has notes of black leather, oud, vetiver, vanilla black rose, night blooming jasmine, patchouli, wild orchid and cinnamon sticks. This scent is very strong and spicy. It’s so strong that I can almost taste it when it’s held up to my nose.

Spirits: I don’t know why but this perfume makes me think of Summer. I think that one Summer I had a tanning lotion that smelled very similar to this and now it reminds me of laying poolside in the hot sun, until you put it on your skin. Then all of a sudden it changes into something dark and spicy. With notes of lemon, red apple, anise, cinnamon, ginger, woods, musk and vanilla. The lemon disappears and the anise, cinnamon and ginger come out with the spice being rounded out by the heavy sweetness of the vanilla and the earthiness of the woods. This is a lot lighter than you would think it to be and reminds me of the smell of a trick-or-treat bag full of candy when on the body.

Ouija Board: There is one smell that I find perpetually sexy and that is sandalwood. I love the smell of sandalwood and its powdery earthiness. This smells just like a sandalwood powder I used to have that I would sprinkle on everything just to be able to smell it. What’s the funniest part about that? There is literally zero sandalwood in this entire perfume. That’s just crazy to me. It smells so intensely similar with its notes of black leather, white patchouli, oud and vanilla. This is a very unisex scent for me and it is so lovely. I definitely recommend this one.

Witches Tea: Hold onto your butts because Wicked Good isn’t playing around with this one. I mean, this may be one of the best perfumes that I have ever smelled, Halloween or otherwise. It’s so fresh and strange and clean. This is such a fresh and clean scent. While it doesn’t scream Halloween, it does scream “Witch” to me. I kept trying to pinpoint what I was smelling before looking at the scent profile and the smell that jumped out the most was bergamot. Bergamot has such an usual and distinctive smell. If you have ever had Earl Grey tea, you know what I mean. This amazing fragrance has notes of Italian bergamot, fig leaves, white tea, jasmine, heliotrope and wormwood. This perfume is stunning and truly beautiful.

Wicked Good sent this same fragrance in three different forms. First up is the roller oil that we are used to. It is fairly strong and has a lot of lasting power. The portability in it is a plus as well. Next is the perfume absolute; this baby is not playing around. This spray is SUPER strong and one spritz is all you need lest you be overwhelmed. The last form is the perfume mist. This can be used for body, linen and air and if you like your scents light, this one is perfect. You can use a few spritzes on your sheets or in your hair and you are good to go. The prices range from about $8-30 depending on the size you choose and that is pretty much across the board.

That is all for the All Hallows Bazaar: Wicked Good Halloween 2020 preview! I adored this collection and pretty much everything in it. Some favorites were Black Flame, Potion and Witches Tea. If you love a wide range of magical perfumes, I highly recommend Wicked Good, and you can shop all of their collections HERE. Thanks for visiting this stall in the All Hallows Bazaar. Keep an eye out for more stalls coming soon! Even though these items were send to me, I was not paid for this review and all opinions of the items and company are my own.
