All Hallows Bazaar: Hunt a Killer Blair Witch Edition Halloween 2020

I am so excited about this one that I can’t even think of an intro. I have written about The Blair Witch Project multiple times and even wrote a whole piece on how it’s my favorite horror movie of all time. I stand by that fact. I am writing this while wearing the Fright Rags Blair Witch shirt. I can do a one woman show of the movie. And when I saw that Hunt A Killer was teaming up with Lionsgate for a special Blair Witch edition, I knew I had to experience it myself. When they reached out to me to try it, I have never hit Reply so quickly in my life. You guys, I am so excited about this one, and I hope you are, too! Welcome to the All Hallows Bazaar: Hunt A Killer Blair Witch 2020 stall!

We want to send the biggest of thank you’s to Hunt A Killer for sending this to us to try and talk about with you. Yes, I am ecstatically excited, but even though this was sent to me, I am not being paid for this review, so my opinions on this box are 100% my own. Let’s start hunting!

Just look at it. LOOK AT IT! It’s so beautiful. I couldn’t wait to crack it open and see what elements they decided to include into this experience. Keep in mind: I can only really talk about my experience and not the contents of the box itself. If I told you everything, then I would be a big ass, and I am not going to do that. I will talk about some elements in the intro letter but nothing after that. Let’s head to Burkittsville, babies!

In every Hunt A Killer box comes an envelope with papers to help you solve the mystery at hand. In episode one, you receive a letter from a woman named Rosemary who is desperate to find her son, Liam. He went missing somewhere in Burkittsville, MD. That’s the same town where three college students went missing in 1994 while filming a college project on the legend of the Blair Witch. Deaths and missing persons have plagued the town since the legend began with a woman named Elly Kedward who was accused of witchcraft and exiled. Since that time, tragedies have rocked the small town. Again in 1998, a little boy went missing in the Black Hills National Forest, the same forest where Heather, Josh, and Mike disappeared.

Why was Liam in Burkittsville? What was he looking for, and why did he disappear? Where did he disappear from? Those are questions that this box wants to help you answer, but you have to do the work, and it isn’t easy. I definitely recommend organization and a place to leave this without being bothered. Once you begin to organize your thoughts, you won’t want them mixed up. Read everything carefully and make notes. Everything could be a clue, so keep track of everything given. It is your job to help figure out where Liam was last seen before he disappeared, and you are Rosemary’s last hope.

I loved how much of the Blair Witch brand was included in this. As a super fan, I was excited and nervous, because I have been burned before with games and sequels that just didn’t give me the same feelings as the first film, but this box gave me have that same feeling and it’s very exciting. I cannot wait to see what’s next. Have I solved this mystery myself? Not yet, but it is a work in progress, and I feel like I am getting closer every time I work on it. Plus, if I get stuck, there is a Facebook group for tips and hints from people that are in the same situation. Hunt A Killer has created its own true crime community, which is a special thing.

That’s all for the All Hallows Bazaar: Hunt A Killer Blair Witch 2020 stall. I wish I could share more with you, but I highly recommend grabbing one and doing it for yourself. It’s an interactive story, and it activates your brain to solve a mystery. You can sign up for one episode or grab all six and solve the whole mystery. I certainly hope to continue this story and figure out the fate of Liam Kent. Sign up for this Hunt A Killer HERE. It’s so much fun and a great activity by yourself or with a friend. If horror isn’t your cup of tea, they have other themes that you can browse HERE. Happy hunting, my friends.

About Dev Crowley

D.D. Crowley has been writing since she could scrawl misspelled words on paper to make a story. Thankfully her writing has improved. An avid horror, paranormal, sci-fi and video game lover, she gets to write about all her favorite nerdy fandoms. Some of her favorites are found footage movies, the original 'Halloween' and 'Resident Evil' (the games not the movies, don't ever ask her about the movies... you have been warned).
