All Hallows Bazaar: Cryptid Crate October 2020 Box

Hello, cryptid lovers! Whether you are Team Nessie, Team Squatch or Team one of the hundreds of cryptids that exist (maaaaaaaaybe) in the world, there is a subscription box for you! Cryptid Crate is a monthly subscription box curated by Box Mountain for those of us that like the mysteries of life. I am personally Team Mothman, Team Fresno Nightcrawlers and Team Flatwoods Monster, but this crate is all about Mother Leed’s 13th child. I am talking about the Jersey Devil! If Cryptid Crate seems familiar to you, we did an unboxing of their old collection, which you can see HERE. Let’s take a look at what was in the All Hallows Bazaar: Cryptid Crate October 2020 box.

We want to send a giant thank you to Box Mountain for sending this box to us. Even though this box was sent to me, I was not paid for this review and all opinions of what is inside is my own. Let’s browse the contents of the All Hallows Bazaar: Cryptid Crate October 2020 stall.

First up is something that wasn’t included in the box itself, but they are sold on the website. These are the PIPTIDS cryptid dice! This is Series One, and standard dice will now never be enough. In this series there is Sasquatch, the Jersey Devil, a Wendigo, and Nessie. I love color differences and how they relate to their cryptid. The cryptid itself is painted either silver or gold and the paint is done really well. I think my favorite would have to be the Sasquatch, although I love the colors of the Jersey Devil. You’ll never look at dice the same way again! Grab yours HERE for $15.

The first official item from the All Hallows Bazaar: Cryptid Crate October 2020 stall is this decal. I tend to avoid using decals on my car, but I use them for everything from personalizing my electronics to my bookshelves or any other item in my house that needs just a touch of nerdy or spooky. While the Jersey Devil isn’t my usual cryptid of choice, I love the design of this, especially the “I Saw The Devil In NJ.” There’s something so silly about it, like buying souvenirs on a road trip. I can pretend I actually went somewhere this year.

Next up is an item that’s just too cute for its own good. It’s so interesting how one cryptid can have such different looks. I find the same thing happens with the chupacabra as well. This little figurine is an adorable take on The Devil of Leeds. This is a Wildhair Creatures of Legends and Lore figurine, and I am having some Trolls nostalgia right now. I love how colorful it is with its red skin and purple hair and wings. I like this quite a bit.

Also included was a full ass book. This is an easy 100-pager featuring spooky, scary stories of cryptids and the paranormal. I really like when books are included in subscription boxes, because they are about our newly found and well-loved favorite subjects. The cover is printed to look worn and well-read, which freaked me out at first as I thought it got messed up in shipping. It has a nice waxy feeling cover, and I am excited to read it.

Is it raining? Or is that the Jersey Devil… peeing in my eye? This here is the wearable in the All Hallows Bazaar: Cryptid Crate October 2020 stall. I really like this simplistic design. Here we have an occult-like design featuring “13th Leeds Child” and “1735” with the Devil himself posing behind. The shirt is pretty sturdy and is 50% cotton and 50% polyester. It isn’t the softest Gildan shirt, but it feels nice and thick, which is great for this time of year. The decal seems pretty thick, so only time and washes will tell on how it holds up to prevent cracking.

Speaking of rain, I also love when a subscription box includes cute umbrellas! They are always useful, and I love when a functional item matches my spooky aesthetic. The little decal on the umbrella shows the Jersey Devil with his own umbrella and the words “This weather is most devilish.” I love the words and I wish the design was bigger! I would have loved it to span a whole panel of the umbrella. It was not the easiest umbrella to open and was quite stiff. I hope it will loosen up over time, because this is simple and cute.

That’s all for the All Hallows Bazaar: Cryptid Crate October 2020 box! For its theme, I did like the items inside. Almost all of them will get regular use and there was a good variety. Also included was a podcast sticker, but I am not sure if that was included as an item. It does list it as a bonus item, so I am glad it didn’t count as a full item in the box. On the website, you can see the value of each item in the box, which I think it great to be able to see just how much value you are getting vs the cost and shipping. If you would like to order this box, you can do so HERE for $41.99. Monthly subscriptions are $39.99 and they also have a lite version for $19.99. They also have past boxes available which includes the Flatwoods Monster and the Fresno Nightcrawlers! If you would like to browse the rest of the site, you can do so HERE. Use code POPHORROR for 20% off a new subscription box or 10% off a single item in the store!

Keep an eye on PopHorror for more stalls being added until Halloween!
