A few months back I had the immense pleasure of checking out an early screening of Mama’s Boy and it didn’t disappoint. Samantha Kolesnik is an amazing director who knows how to deliver a true horror story in a short amount of time. Films like hers are the reason the indie horror community is SO important. They deserve to be recognized. It’s also reason I will always prefer indie over mainstream.

On that note, please check out the sadistically beautiful trailer for Mama’s Boy! It will have you dying to see the film! Also be sure to check out this film when it premieres at the Nightmares Film Festival this October – https://www.nightmaresfest.com/
This brilliantly dark and disturbing horror short was directed and written by Samantha Kolesnik, who also produced the short along with Vanessa Ionta Wright and Nathan Ludwig. The cast includes Malcolm Mills, Kara Vedder, Nathan Ludwig, Jaysen P. Buterin, and Hope Bikle.
Mama’s Boy follows a young man named Joshua (Mills) who is mentally unwell due to his unnatural relationship with his mother. Joshua struggles to make a connection with anyone and is losing any sense of reality by the minute. What does a boy do when the only “love” he’s ever known is from a sadistic so-called mother?
